Faye has wonderful control over her body, making some wonderful shaping and hip action. She was full of energy and confid3ncd which in this dance you most certainly need. She looked like she was having so much fun and it meant that I was having fun watching her as well. She produced some brilliant movements in there the Samba rolls being a highlight for me
Argentine Tango – 39 (9,10,10,10)
This is why the Argentine Tango is my favourite dance of all time, when it is done properly, just like these two, it is so magical and so special and can create an unforgettable moment. Her legs were true perfection and she had complete control of what she was going, her positioning and shaping was to die for, and I mean dancing with Giovanni alsways helps as well. Absolutely stunning and in my opinion deserved a 40, I’m not quite sure why Craig only gave it a 9
I love Faye and I do like a good samba when it’s done well.
However, as good as it was for a samba, it wasn’t up to Faye’s usual standards. I mean the choreography was great with those samba rolls, the double bounce and that hip action worked so nice with the whole concept and song. I did see some moments where Faye actually looked quite tired and i didnt see the usual crispness that we see from her. It was clear that she hated this song and dance but it definitely was one of the better sambas that I’ve seen.
What a dance, fully packed, non stop, high energy. It was mesmerising to watch, they were so in sync with each other the timing was exquisite. Such a different Charleston that still had the basics and was recognisable. Fantastic choreography and characterisation.
I may not love the Sound of Music (too long for me) but the Charleston is one of my favourite dances and I just love hearing Gio yodel because he really just needs to release an album.
Apart from the small mistake that I think Gio made 😂 this was such an amazing Charleston and I really can’t find any faults. It had perfect swivel, it was full of so much character and it was just so fun to watch from start to end. I mean I don’t even think I can praise it enough from the concept to the choreography to the characterisation. Like, I could literally watch it again and again. Faye and Gio work so well together and it was so nice to see them both having fun. I mean it was also great seeing Gio in blonde hair… I can’t say enough good things about it.
That was a classic jive and I can’t say there was anything wrong with it. It was Gio’s favourite dance and I thought that she was amazing. I don’t even know what Shirley was watching because this was probably one of the best jives I’ve seen since Jay’s all those years ago. It was quick paced, sharp and full of charisma from start to end and, like Graeme, I could watch this dance every week. Faye always amazes me as I see her progress and get even better than I could’ve even imagined. I don’t know if Shirley doesn’t like Gio or what but it was pure amazing and I couldn’t find a fault in.
Well that was another amazing dance from Faye and man, Gio kicked it out of the park with this choreography (as well as that amazing outfit). The use of the prop just added to this dance and it was just pure amazingness from start to end. It was staccato, dramatic and full of the intensity I love from this dance. I mean I could watch this dance every day and the two of them together create pure magic and it’s just one of the most passionate dances I’ve ever seen – I was captivated from the start to the end ❤️
My favourite of the night by far, it was so different and unique nothing like we have ever seen before on Strictly, and that’s why I’m loving this introduction of the couples choice. Giovanni produced some outstanding choreography and Faye was so brave to go along with it and they both executed it perfectly. It throughly deserved its three 10s.
