That was a classic jive and I can’t say there was anything wrong with it. It was Gio’s favourite dance and I thought that she was amazing. I don’t even know what Shirley was watching because this was probably one of the best jives I’ve seen since Jay’s all those years ago. It was quick paced, sharp and full of charisma from start to end and, like Graeme, I could watch this dance every week. Faye always amazes me as I see her progress and get even better than I could’ve even imagined. I don’t know if Shirley doesn’t like Gio or what but it was pure amazing and I couldn’t find a fault in.
Well that was another amazing dance from Faye and man, Gio kicked it out of the park with this choreography (as well as that amazing outfit). The use of the prop just added to this dance and it was just pure amazingness from start to end. It was staccato, dramatic and full of the intensity I love from this dance. I mean I could watch this dance every day and the two of them together create pure magic and it’s just one of the most passionate dances I’ve ever seen – I was captivated from the start to the end ❤️
My favourite of the night by far, it was so different and unique nothing like we have ever seen before on Strictly, and that’s why I’m loving this introduction of the couples choice. Giovanni produced some outstanding choreography and Faye was so brave to go along with it and they both executed it perfectly. It throughly deserved its three 10s.
Seann and Katya – Viennese waltz
You know what Craig, it wasn’t as bad as you make out. It was actually probably one of his better ballroom dances and I loved how much characterisation that he put in this dance and that, combined with Katya’s choreography, he did try so hard. I know he isn’t one of the most natural dancers but the judges should appreciate that and know that it doesn’t come as effortlessly as people like Ashley. Sometimes I think the judges don’t give these guys enough credit – it wasn’t as bad as people say and the characterisation helped this dance and I hate how it wasn’t picked up as much as it should of.
Charles and Karen – Jive
Apart from maybe a second out of time, this dance was absolutely amazing from the outfits, the choreography and the characterisation. It was full on from start to end and I just couldn’t tear my eyes away from the two of them – the two of them work so perfectly together and it was just a proper jive that I could watch it again and again. Shirley and Darcey were emphasising the mistakes way too much because it was probably one of the best dances of the night and I just hope people pick up the phone and vote because 25 is so undermarked.
Faye and Giovanni – showdance
I don’t even know what I can say about this dance… it was so amazing in every way. From the coolness, to the character to the actual dance, I mean I’ve never seen anything like it. I do love Giovanni but Faye was so good that I couldn’t take my eyes off her.
Joe and dianne – Foxtrot
What a jam, let me say that first because #5sosfam but, apart from that, I was so confused. Like I literally thought it was a tango for most of. I know he’s trying but I didn’t think it was that good and it was all just a bit basic, a bit bland and a bit meh. Like I don’t know if the judges are being nice to not get hate but I just don’t get it. Like he’s good, but he’s nowhere near as good in his moves or personality as a lot of the others
Faye & Giovanni – Foxtrot – ( 8 , 9 , 8 , 8 ) 33
Another beautiful dance from Faye and fantastic choreography from Giovanni. She keeps impressing me every week and she is most definitely an all rounder. She is most certainly going all the way.
Danny and Amy – Jive
Even though you could see he got ever so slightly tired (I mean hes 56), omg this was a full on, amazing jive and all I can say is BLOODY HELL BRUH! This dance was full on from the start of the dance and Amy didn’t even give him time to slow down which made it even more amazing that he stayed in time, kept up his energy and just made it look effortless. It has to be one of the best dances this series because, along with his gorg smile, it was so slick, precise and that retraction was just like a professional! Sometimes I watch him and I can’t even with Danny – he is always so amazing and with Amy, they really are such an amazing couple and… I’m still shooketh about this dance. #YAY
Faye and Gio – Foxtrot
I always love watching these two and Faye’s ability to get in and out of hold while keeping her frame is just amazement. The storyline was so adorable with the song and Gio’s choreography from the sections in hold to the solo parts where just so pure and it just makes me love watching her even more! I sometimes forget that I’m watching a celebrity because Faye is just a natural performer and I think she’s a natural dancer too.
Charles and Karen – Couple’s choice (street/ commercial)
I don’t think it’s fair that they’ve been in the bottom 2 twice because they didn’t deserve it. I am so excited for this because Charles has this natural flair and charisma that will be perfect for this dance, same with Karen. You know what. I had high expectations for this and they were so met! Charles was so cool and it just seemed so effortless that I wanted to get up and join him and Karen. I mean I was sceptical about this dance style but we got to see that Charles can really dance – I mean I couldn’t tell pro from celebrity! It was just so cool and amazing- bruh it was sick af man! I could happily watch this dance everyday and him and Karen are just such a great pairing! #pleasevoteforCharles #funkymaster
The rumba has always been a noutoriously difficult routine to do but I think Faye did an amazing job. It was very emotional and had some fantastic technique. It was slow and passionate without being overly sexual and uncomfortable. One of the best rumbas I’ve seen in a long time.
Joe and Dianne – Cha Cha
You know what, I don’t like a cha cha at all but it wasn’t half bad for one of the hardest dances. I saw so many attempts at that straight leg and it did make the cha cha look a lot more slick and crisp. But, even though he probably tried, I just didn’t see any hips and, because he’s so skinny, it was even more obvious that he didn’t have any hip action and just looked a bit awkward. I loved how into it he was getting and he is definitely improving week by week and his ability to hear the music really helps!
Vick and Graziano – Quickstep
This was such a cute dance and they looked so adorable. She has really got so much better at acting and the chemistry between the two of them in this dance was so cute and I just felt like I was watching a film. Also, apart from some times where her shoulders were raised into her neck, she was so effortless as she danced across the floor. The timing was perfect and the position of her fingers was so elegant that it all just looked so graceful which made a usually hard dance look so effortless.
Danny and Amy – Viennese Waltz
This is what I love to see from Danny – a smile always makes a dance 100x better and it made me feel so happy watching them dance, not just because I want to be Amy and have that dress. I loved how much he relaxed this week and, along with his attempts at fleckles and beautiful frame, it was just such a beautiful dance to watch – it was so elegant and I could just imagine watching them on the West End or Broadway dancing along to an orchestra and just making me smile!
Faye and Gio – Rumba
I normally hate the rumba but by god, for this dance and week 4, that was absolutely amazing. She had all the emotion we normally never have in this dance, we had amazing and such soft hip action and everything was just so fluid and smooth. It was crazy how much I liked it – the slowness of it didn’t seem to scare her and it just looked so elegant!
What a wonderful performance, such a fantastic quickstep one that could go really wrong but thankfully it didn’t. And they fit the roles of Danny & Sandy perfectly. I’m loving watching these two dance and I can’t wait to see them next week.
