Strictly Come Dancing the Professionals

Yesterday I went and saw the Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals Tour, and it was absolutely amazing!

Each dancer got to talk about their experience on Strictly as well as their background and how they got into dancing. We got t9 learn a little but more abou them all which was lovely. They also showed bits from the show including some of the funniest moments, the most dramatic as well as a montage of Blackpool performances.

The dancers were Dianne, Karen, Nadiya, Katya, Oti, Neil, AJ, Gorka, Pasha and Giovanni. And they were all fantastic (as always)

The highlights for me were;

. Giovanni – he was so funny and had some great interaction with the audience and his performance was absolutely stunning.

.Oti – It was a joy to get to see her dance, she is just phenomenal and didn’t put a foot wrong.

. The singers – Patrick Smyth and Alison Jiear were outstanding! Such incredible voices and they interacted with the dances and were incorporated in the routines which was brilliant to see and much better that them just standing at the back with the band

. Pasha’s farewell – Nadiya came out and delivered a lovely speech about Pasha, he then performed some of his best bits including the Charleston he performed with Caroline Flack and the Salsa he did with Ashley last year. At the end of his performance he received a standing ovation from the entire theatre.

It was a brilliantly put together show, very well thought out and a lovely concept. And the dancers were all fantastic, you could see that the were loving performing all together and talking about there pasts and Strictly.

Incredibly sad to see Graeme go, as Oti said he truly is the spirit of Strictly. Starting out as a complete novis, he has grown and improved so much and truly become a dancer. He has but his heart and soul into everydance and provided us with some fantastic entertainment from day one.

Sorry about no blogs again last night! The last few weeks on Saturday have been so stressful and busy, I normally can’t watch it until like Sunday evening.

I did see the spoilers and Oh my gosh i don’t know what to think

Graeme & Oti – Jazz – (7,8,8,9)32

Graeme’s best dance hands down. The timing, choreography, character and costumes were perfect and all came together brilliantly. A wonderful performance which showcased Graeme’s unexpected yet brilliant improvement and capabilities

Graeme and Oti – Salsa

Oh my god. This dance was so iconic and amazing – I literally couldn’t stop smiling from the start to the end. It was full of energy, amazing choreography and such fun. I know it was funny to watch but there was actually some really good content in terms of his hips and the rotation, the lifts were out of this world and it was just such high risk and different that I’d want to watch it every week. The two of them were so amazing together and I just felt like I’d been transported to a really camp holiday club in Europe – camp, bright, full of energy and amazing to watch!!

Graeme & Oti – Waltz – (6,7,8,8) 29

Graeme has definetly improved in his ballroom, and I loved watching this slower and softer side to him. The Waltz really proved how much better he has gotten in these last 8 weeks and I’m hoping that it can continue.
