Who are you all looking forward too?

Simon Rimmer and Karen Clifton – Toy Story – Quickstep – 19 (3, 5, 6, 5)

Such a sweet dance and he did really well, looked like he was enjoying himself and having a lot of fun. The ending was fantastic.

Anything slightly Disney gets me way too excited and Toy Story is no exception! I really see potential in Simon after last week and it was such a shame about his little hiccup! Apart from the awful choice of music, because let’s face it-it wasn’t quick enough for this dance, Simon does have true potential to do well! His frame was pretty good most of the way through and you could just see that he was having so much fun in this dance. He had style, pizzazz and was filled with a childhood joy that made me smile! I can say that he deserved a lot more in the scores!

Simon Rimmer and Karen Clifton – Waltz – 19 (4, 4, 6, 5)

It’s such a shame that the ending went wrong, the dance was going so well and was so beautiful as well. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it actually was, ballroom is more Simon’s style I think. He looks very comfortable and it was a definite improvement on last week.

Simon Rimmer and Karen Clifton – Paso Doble – 17

Was surprised to see a paso doble in Week one but it was a good effort from Simon. I’m interested to see how he does with Latin dances as I think they will be a bit out of his comfort zone. However, it was a bit of fun and made me laugh, not sure how fat they will get in the competition, I’m excited to see though.

The leaderboard for week 1 of Strictly Come Dancing 2017

Karen always works her magic with chefs *cough Dave* so I know that, whatever his dance ability may be, Karen will make him sweat and work hard. I have to say Simon did as well as he could, I mean it was a bit of a disaster, wasn’t it? The start seemed a bit camp then it just went to mush – he was missing steps, stumbling and losing his posture like there was no tomorrow. I can’t fault his intent and desire to do well but it looks like all his work didn’t really pay off like he would’ve wanted! It was funny to watch… my dad couldn’t even watch it because he found it so cringe throughout. Poor Simon looked like a spoilt child having a tantrum 😛
